After several successful years running his own specialist finance recruitment business, Dan joined Gateley, where he spent nearly five years managing recruitment for the firm’s Property teams. During this time he played a key role in hiring high‑performing Partners whose practices delivered significant growth and long‑term value to the business.

His background gives him a unique perspective: the commercial sharpness of a headhunter combined with first‑hand insight into the operational needs, pressures and ambitions of a corporate law firm. This enables Dan to advise clients and candidates with clarity, realism and a genuine understanding of what drives successful lateral moves.

Outside of work, Dan has a wide range of interests. He is a committed long‑distance runner, a lifelong Evertonian, and a classically trained musician with eclectic tastes, happily moving from Bach to Oasis, and from Miles Davis to Raye without missing a beat.
