Here at Newell Palmer, acquisitions form an integral part of our growth strategy for 2015 and beyond; we are always on the lookout for firms that will fit in well with our business model. We have a great relationship with Ortus Group; they understand our business principles and core values and as a result they have brokered several of our acquisition deals.
We are half way through 2015 and with the support of Ortus Group we have recently completed our 35th acquisition in just twelve years. It’s been a great year-to-date and we look forward to strengthening our working relationship with Ortus Group to implement our growth strategy.
Executive Search Project:
Colin was directly responsible for my recent move to Moore Blatch LLP. His knowledge of both the legal market as well as the specific firms he works alongside is exceptional. He is to be commended for his respectful and thorough approach for both the firm and the candidates he represents. He is one of the most impressive head-hunters I have had the opportunity to work with. Accordingly, I recommend him unreservedly to both individuals and firms.
Acquisition Search Project:
I employed Colin’s services as a part of the acquisition strategy at DBS Law. He presented me with several excellent opportunities to explore and the first successful acquisition occurred in July 2013. He took time to understand our business, is extremely knowledgeable in the legal sector and presented opportunities that clearly fell in-line with the business strategy. He was excellent to work with.
Colin was very thorough in the task he managed for us. He had an excellent understanding of our business and our requirements and a reassuring presence throughout the whole process
Acquisitions and Executive Search Projects:
The team at Ortus Group have a refreshingly collaborative approach to client relationships. The width and breadth of their knowledge of our sector makes them a first point of call on a variety of matters and their informed and direct advice is much appreciated”
Multiple Acquisition Project:
Colin has worked closely with us on a number of projects and has a clear understanding of our firm’s personality and requirements. Armed with this knowledge, he is a very effective matchmaker and our talks moved quickly and amicably to our mergers. We are delighted with the results.

It may seem early to be considering Professional Indemnity Insurance but this is not the case for a number of reasons. If you rely on your current broker to look after you year after year, you are almost certainly not being shown the whole of market and they may well be limited in the amount […]
Since the referendum result was announced in June 2016, Brexit has been the primary event for which all industries and sectors have been trying to anticipate so preparations can be made for any potential impact on their business. The media have often claimed that UK-based legal firms will bear the brunt of Brexit, although to […]
